Daily rides will depart and end from Hotel Majer’ca. Additional activities such as hiking, guided forest bathing, and a private boat tour of Lake Bohinj will round out your Slovenia Gravel experience.

Food

Slovenia Gravel is truly a food experience unto itself. With generations of influence from Austria, Germany, and Italy, Slovenia's cuisine is inspired by the home kitchen, and the foods grown on small farms throughout its fertile river valleys. Dedicated to producing much of its food products domestically, Slovenia's food quality is very high. We will spend 5 days tasting as much of it as we can.

Your home away from home at Slovenia Gravel is the Hotel Majer’ca. A small boutique hotel moments from the shores of Lake Bohinj. Hotel Majer’ca has 14 rooms, a full restaurant and bar, and a lovely backyard garden to relax, unwind, and check out from whatever busyness you left behind. Rooms are designed in the traditional Gorenjska region style, grounding your energy and connecting us a bit more with the natural environment of the surrounding Triglav National Park. Single room options are available for Slovenia Gravel.

What people are saying…

My first trip with The Cyclist's Menu was an unforgettably positive experience! The terrain of southern Arizona, the guides (thanks Emily and Betsy!), the bike mechanic (Noe) and our awesome sag support and photographer (Shannon--huge YAY) were all superb. And, of course, our hosts Heidi and Zander who went above and beyond in their hospitality, having thought of and prepared for every scenario in advance, creating a safe and welcoming environment. I departed Patagonia having thoroughly enjoyed the cycling and feeling like I had experienced a "reset" in terms of nutritious, satisfying and delectable food. Kudos to Zander for providing meals that went well above the typical cycling sustenance! I've already booked my next trip with TCM, bringing along family members with dietary challenges, as I'm confident that Zander and Heidi will again support a wonderful experience. Oh.... and the other guests were so fun to hang out with---we were like a family at our communal meals and everyone was so supportive on the rides!
