Ride through history

Mallorca Road is a cycling trip filled with rich history, Old World charm, warm hospitality, and incredible scenery. Our guide team will show you our favorite small towns, we’ll visit medieval castles and churches, and traverse the coastline through the Serra de Tramuntana mountains. This trip combines activity and leisure in an incredible fashion, ending each day with food and drinks by the pool. Team Chef, Zander Ault, prepares most of our meals during our time in Mallorca, focusing on the cuisine of the island. We’ll also have a private chef team join us following our two largest ride days.  Expect nothing but a relaxing take on adventurous days as we take on 6 days of riding and 5 nights of fantastic Mallorcan dining.

Highlights:

  • Climbing ‘Puig Major’, the tallest mountain on the island

  • Leaving for your ride day with 20 euros in your pocket and stopping at all the coffee shops!

  • Fresh meats and vegetables. Mallorca has an incredible agricultural network, and we will be enjoying it all during our trip.

Food

We will be traveling together for 5 nights and 6 days, during which we will be enjoying all the best foods that Mallorca has to offer. Team Chef, Zander Ault will operate breakfast, lunch, and 3 dinners during Mallorca Road. The Cyclist’s Menu partners with an outstanding private chef group who join us for 2 very special meals.

Accommodations

Just outside the little town of Buger, we host this trip from a wonderful Finca (farm house lodge), equipped with 15 bedrooms, 2 pools, and ample outside space. Our Mallorca home base is quiet, and serene, yet moments from town centers and all the riding Mallorca has to offer.

Itinerary

Day 1 - Arrival Day

20 miles, 1,200 feet

Our team is so thrilled to meet you at our gorgeous house for the week at noon! After you settle into your rooms, Chef Z will have a light lunch for us to enjoy before we head out for our shakedown spin. For those of you bringing your bike, our mechanic will build your bike up during lunch. For everyone renting, we will make sure you are fit to your bike and feeling great before we head out this afternoon!

The countryside is a stunning place to shake your travel legs out and get excited about what’s to come. A quick dip in the pool after our ride, overlooking the Tramuntana Mountains! We’ll watch the sun roll down behind the Serra De Tramuntana Mountains as happy hour brings us closer to dinner and an evening around the table with Chef Z.

*Please plan to land in Mallorca before 11AM today. If you cannot schedule to land before 11AM today, we highly recommend flying in one night early.

Day 2 - Windmill Loop

35–65 miles, 1,300–3,000 feet

After breakfast this morning we’ll roll out on our bikes around 9:30AM! On today’s ride we will explore the 700 existing windmills that still remain in the stunning countryside. This afternoon, we will take you to one of our favorite beaches for a quick dip in the Mediterranean. For those of you who sign up for massage today, that will be available all afternoon as well. Happy hour followed with dinner by Chef Z.

Day 3 - Andratx Coastal Loop

30–75 miles, 2,300–6,500 feet

Today we cruise the northern mountain coastal section of the island. A fresh picnic lunch overlooking the Mediterranean Sea before spinning down Soller and back over to our hometown. Happy hour in the town square followed by another beautiful meal by Chef Z.

Day 4 - Cap de Formentor

35–65 miles, 1,000–4,800 feet

We’ll have a gorgeous warm up this morning through the farmlands before arriving at the base of Cap de Formentor, which will take us to the most northerly point of Mallorca. The gorgeous road weaves 200 meters above the most magnificent coastal landscape. The lighthouse is our turnaround point and lunch will be served overlooking our favorite beach on the island. An afternoon dip in the ocean, optional massage and dinner by Chef Z to follow.

Day 5 - The Countryside Boogie

What people are saying…

"Seven years ago I got bamboozled by my husband into a trip with TCM in Colorado when I was told there’d be delicious food involved. Little did I know, this life-changing trip was the start of my journey becoming a cyclist! After MANY unreal TCM trips and hundreds of miles later, I’m now a full-fledged rider. TCM truly knows how to curate unforgettable trips with great people, well-planned routes, and amazing food.” – Victoria R.

Bike Options

Rent a bike:

If you don’t have a bike that you love at home, we highly recommend renting a bike from us! We have Wilier Cento E-bikes ($400) and Wilier Cento road bikes ($400) available.

Bring your own:

It’s so comfortable to arrive on your bike adventure and hop onto your own bike and feel at home. We highly recommend getting a good bike tune at your local bike shop before using it on this trip. Please make sure you have 35c or bigger tires (with thick sidewalls) with sealant that have low miles on them.

Flying with your bike: This is a great way to travel with your bike these days because a lot of airlines charge a low rate (sometimes as low as only $30!), which is much more affordable than shipping your bike. Our mechanic will build your bike up upon arrival, take care of it throughout the week, and box it up for your to fly back home with.

Ship your bike: You can ship your bike straight to us via BikeFlights. If you are new to this we recommend dropping your bike off at your local shop and have them box it and ship it to us. At the end of our trip, our mechanic will ship it straight back to your shop for them to build back up for you.
