HEIDI RENTZ AULT & ZANDER AULT
Heidi and Zander (H & Z) met at the University of Montana, Missoula in 2005. Driven by their collected love for outdoor adventure travel, the two of them have pursued careers as professional guides and farm direct chefs over the past 16 years. The bicycle is their vehicle for exploration, community development, and personal growth as they lead others through transformational journeys around the world.
The Cyclist's Menu is a shared experience. Guests enter into a hyper focused week; where stronger community ties to local food sheds are fostered, monumental gravel and road rides are lived, and the creative space to experience your potential as an athlete and active human is witnessed in a dynamic group environment. These ingredients are whisked together as you travel with Heidi, Zander and their eclectic band of guides.
Based in Patagonia, Arizona; Heidi and Zander have dedicated their lives to being active community members of Arizona's Madrean Sky Island ecosystem. In 2019 they launched Patagonia's own gravel road cycling event called The Spirit World 100. Equipped with a 50, 80, and 100 mile course, the Spirit World 100 celebrates the unique confluence of Patagonia's town center and the 90,000 acre San Rafael Valley.
H & Z's most recent big project was opening Patagonia's newest cafe + beer + wine bar; Patagonia Lumber Company (PLC) on Halloween weekend, 2021. It's been an incredibly dynamic & fun endeavor and they're honored to host a place for locals and guests from all over in the downtown business sector. A Presta Coffee Roasters cafe, the PLC focuses on Arizona's craft beer and wine industries, while scheduling live music and food trucks as often as possible. It's a great place to end your day's adventure with a cold beverage and some live tunes.
The Cyclist's Menu is one big family and we're thrilled to invite more to the table as we head into our 8th year operating gravel and road camps. No matter what challenges arise, both nationally and globally, it's our goal to create a safe, fun, and memorable experience. We hope to 'ride bikes eat food' with you soon.
Teeth to the wind!
